This course is for people who want to know more about their voice and get better singing technique but who are intimidated by private voice lessons and who also might be afraid that taking singing lessons means you will be turned into an opera singer. This class will cover topics that are useful in ~all genres~.
We will cover…
Topics such as: Breath, Posture, Registration, Resonance, Articulation, and Mind-Body Awareness
Anatomical run-down of the singing process and what is actually happening in the body when we sing
Specific exercises to strengthen the voice, and the application of exercises to common vocal issues
The course will run weekly on Zoom Sunday nights at 3pm (central time) for four sessions: February 15th, 22th, March 1st, and 8th.
All classes will be recorded and emailed to students the day after the class, so while live participation in all sessions is appreciated, it’s not necessary.
